Brighton – Amanda Hauser, 15, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 1, 2017 at home after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born December 13, 2001, the daughter of Matthew and Lynn (Zimmerman) Hauser. Amanda attended Brighton Elementary and Westosha Central High School. She was a member of the Brighton Bombers 4-H Club and Kenosha County 4-H Horse Project. Amanda liked being outdoors and camping was a favorite activity. Her favorite location to camp was Beaver Lake in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest of Ashland County. She enjoyed playing volleyball and soccer. Amanda loved animals, especially horses, and had many pets. Amanda's lively personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed in the lives of those who love her.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Matthew and Lynn and her brother, Jacob. She leaves her maternal grandmother, Phyllis Zimmerman of Portage, WI and her paternal grandparents, Clayton and Debbie Hauser of Wadsworth, IL. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Walter Zimmerman of Portage, WI.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 4 pm – 7 pm at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. Further visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10 am – 11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ramirez will begin at 11 am. Burial will immediately follow at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery.
