On July 2, 2025, God called Ann P. Swanson, age 98, home to heaven at Home Inspired Senior Living, Somers, WI.  She was born on February 2, 1927, to parents Martin and Katherine (nee. Karychanski) Sradeja. Ann married Robert G. Tanking on January 17, 1948, and was blessed with five children. She was a gymnast with the Sokol Club in the mid 1940's, a member of the Kenosha Post Office Auxiliary, and Ladies' of the Moose Club.  Ann was lucky to find love again, marrying LeRoy Swanson on July 11, 1975. Ann loved dancing at the VFW and listening to a variety of music. Above all, she loved taking care of her family and being a stay-at-home mom.  When she did return to the workforce, it was as a keypuncher for an accounting firm, and a secretary at Dairyland Greyhound Dog Track.  She retired when she was 73.

Ann is survived by her children, Susan (William) Gibson, Jeffrey (Debbie) Tanking, Robert Tanking, Matthew (Brenda) Tanking, and Ann Olszewski; grandchildren, Lori (Jimmie), Nathan, Alyssa, Amanda, Steven (Alison), Joseph (Tracy), Philip, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, Abigail, Andilynn, Keagan, Leah, Frank, Lillian, and Kennadi;  and many other relatives and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert G. Tanking; second husband, LeRoy Swanson; siblings, Frank Sradeja, Mary Stack, Joseph Sradeja, and Lillian Berry; daughter-in-law, Penny Tanking; and companion Michael A. Molinaro, Sr.

The family would like to thank Home Inspired Senior Living for the wonderful care they took of Ann for the 1-½ years she resided with them, and Amedisys Hospice during her final weeks.

A visitation will be held on July 19, 2025, from 10am – 11:30am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1610 Main St., Union Grove, WI, with a memorial service to immediately follow.
