Arlene Joyce (Newman) Fox, 88 of Paris, Wisconsin passed away peacefully July 14, 2021, at her home with family at her side.

Arlene was born on March 24, 1933, to Emil and Daisy (Charlson) Newman in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  She grew up in Kenosha, attended schools there, and the Augustana Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois.  Kenosha is also where she met the love of her life, John Fox, at a 4 ^th of July dance.  They were married on May 24, 1952, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Brighton.  They made their home in Paris where they raised their family.  John preceded her in death on April 29, 2012.

Arlene was a homemaker.  She was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; her faith was very important to her.  She was active in the Kenosha County Home and Community Education (HCE) and was a member of the St. Francis Christian Mothers Altar Society and the Harvest Club-Community State Bank.  She spent time helping her husband on the family farm and mink ranch.  Arlene enjoyed traveling, playing cards, going to bingo, playing board games, building puzzles, reading and solving word search puzzles.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's events was one of her greatest joys.  Arlene was immensely proud of the family she and John raised.

Arlene is survived by her children, Donald (Christine) Fox of Brighton, Ronald (Lucy) Fox of Brighton, Bonnie Fox of Oak Creek, and Patricia (David) Harms of Sheboygan.  Grandchildren, Amanda (Bill) Lois, Christopher (Mandy) Fox, Angela (Neil) Daniels, Michele (Rob) Faust, Jennifer (Craig) Shipley, Melissa (Kyle) Bartholomew, and Jonathan (Kelsey) Harms, and 14 great grandchildren.  She is further survived by her sister, Carolyn Hewitt, and a sister-in-law, Betty Fox.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband and parents, and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Burlington Medical Center, and Aurora Hospice for their compassionate and expert care.

A visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Brighton, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 9 am to 11 am, with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 am.  Burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery will immediately follow.
