Franksville - Arthur Raymond Hephner, age 91, passed away on October 15, 2025. We take comfort in knowing that he is at rest in the peace of our Lord. He was born on December 4, 1933, to parents Marshall and Hazel (nee. Senn) Hephner. Arthur proudly served in the US Navy as an airplane mechanic and went on to graduate from UW-Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as an outside salesman for Occidental Chemical Corporation. On June 17, 1961, he married the love of his life, Barbara Heimann, and they shared 64 years of marriage. Barbara was Arthur's whole world, and he cherished every moment spent with her.

Growing up on a dairy farm, Arthur developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved planting trees and seeing them grow. Arthur was a hard worker and was either improving his land, his home, or helping someone else with their needs. He stayed involved with his children's lives and helped them over the years with many projects. A skilled craftsman, he built his own cabin and cherished the time he spent working with his son rebuilding his muscle car.

Arthur loved thrifting and antique shopping and especially liked a good deal at the estate and rummage sales. He kept busy over the years with many interests including beekeeping, raising St. Bernard puppies, camping, traveling with family, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and hunting deer, elk, and moose. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Arthur was always ready with a story, a joke, or some helpful advice. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Barbara Hephner; children, Rachel (Scott) Wang, Rebecca Brown, and Art (Maureen) Hephner Jr.; grandchildren, Scott (Tammy) Wang Jr., Jesse (Megan) Tubeszewski, Blaine Brown, Hunter Brown, Leah Hephner, and Rachelle Hephner; three great grandchildren; sister in law, Kay Hephner; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Hazel Hephner and siblings, Patrick (Donna) Hephner, Berdella McGrath, Gervase Hephner, and Marshall (Sheila) Hephner Jr.

Private burial has taken place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
