Union Grove- Audrey Hoese (nee Bodamer), 90, passed away September 6, 2021 at Franklin Hospital.  She was born July 16, 1931 in Greenfield, WI to George and Florence (nee McHenry) Bodamer.  She graduated Valedictorian from West Milwaukee High School.  Audrey was married to Robert Zimmermann for 28 years until his early death in 1977.  Together they had two children, Gary and Sharon.  Audrey was married to Karl Hoese from 1991 until his death in 2016.

Audrey's first job was working at Sears in the catalog department.  She was proud to be their first Radar Range (microwave) demonstration lady.  She worked at Lincoln State Bank as a teller in accounts payable and worked at M and M Bank Corp. in accounts payable.

Audrey enjoyed roller skating, which is how she met Karl, and continued to skate and line dance her whole life.  They enjoyed sailing with Windjammer Barefoot Cruises.  She loved going for car rides with Sarah and Jon and was thrilled to go on one last trip to Tennessee in June to meet Rory Feek.  She spent free time working on crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, listening to country music and watching RFD TV.  She was known for having her camera ready for pictures.  Audrey often volunteered at the Greenfield Community Center.

Audrey is survived by her son, Gary Zimmermann (Joanne Dudkiewicz and her daughter, Katherine); her grandchildren, Sarah (Jonathan) Grubb, Andy (Shannon) Anders, Travis (Christina) Hoffman, and Jennifer Zimmermann; and her great-grandchildren, Alison (Matthew), Austin (Tye Miller), Kaitlyn, Owen, Rachel, Bailey, Mathew, Kyle, Landon, Savannah, and her most precious, Emerie (her first great-great-granddaughter).  She leaves behind her two good friends, Rosie Chojnacki and Deana Byrnes. She is also survived by Karl's children, JoAnn (Lionel Spartz) Hoese, Steven (Veronica) Hoese, James (Lisa) Hoese, and John Hoese; his grandchildren, Aaron (Amy) Hartong, Sarah Hartong (Lauren Grant), Anna Slunaker, Rachel (John McCabe) Spartz, Bethany Spartz, Leslie Spartz, Jessica (Kyle) Leabo, Alexander (Alyssa) Hoese, David (Tess) Hoese, Kristen Hoese, and Shane Marquardt-Hoese; and his great-grandchildren, Oliver and Alexander, Morgan and Gwendolyn, Quinn, Eleanore, and Adeline .

Audrey was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Joseph Hoffman, daughter-in-law, Julie Zimmermann, and cousins, Pat Seeger and Nancy and Graham Molitor; and Karl's daughter, Gaye Lynn Hoese and grandson, Mark Hoese.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9-11 am.  Memorial service will begin at 11 am.  Audrey will be buried with her beloved Karl at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon, WI at 2 pm.
