Bristol-Berniece I. Wade, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Oak Park Place in Burlington. She was born on March 24, 1934, to parents Henry and Ida (Rasch) Leiting. On July 25, 1953, Berniece married the love of her life, Arlyn Robert Wade and they were married for 66 years, raising a family together.

Berniece worked at Coopers before marrying and then becoming the secretary for Wade Landscaping. For years she was fondly known as "The Candy Lady" starting with the Ladies at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was a 4-H leader for the Trailblazers for many years. She enjoyed sharing her love of horses with all the youth. She taught Sunday school at Bethany for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved going dancing with Arlyn and didn't miss a New Year's Eve party until Arlyn's health declined.

Anyone who stopped by the farm would be treated to a tour of their garden and yard. She definitely had a gift. She loved spending time at the cabin in Antigo, especially during deer season when she had all the family with her. Nothing made them happier than loving all the family at the dinner table.

She is survived by her children, David (Kim), Dennis (Charlene), Donald (Michelle), and Deann Fude (Ken); a very special nephew Chad (Geri) Chadwick; her grandchildren, Jamie (Brian), Amanda, Andrew (Brenda), Matthew (Nicole), Robert (Renee), Amber (fiancée Ethan), Kathryn (Chris), Marcus (Lisa), Brandon (Michelle), Wayde (Rachel); her great-grandchildren, Hevan, Emilee, Breanna, Tucker, Charlie, Arlyn, Waylon, Brogan, Declan, Austin, Carter, and Jackson; her step-grandson, Justin Wishunt; many other relatives, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Leiting.

The visitation will be held April 27, 2024, from 10 am – 12 noon at Zion Lutheran Church, 7931 US HWY 45, Bristol, WI 53104. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon.

We would like to thank all of her caregivers over the last year who were so wonderful in helping to care for her.
