Union Grove – Carl Steven Karlowski, age 67, passed away on February 16, 2024, at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie. He was born on March 18, 1956, to parents Karl and Katherine (nee. Tabor) Karlowski. Carl graduated from Peoria Woodruff High School and went on to attend college at the University of Illinois Normal Campus and earned his master's degree from Michigan State University. Carl was a chemist that specialized in metal refining. When not working, he loved being a rockhound looking for rocks, gems and fossils. He loved exploring his family's ancestry. Carl became a Reiki master teacher.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Joanna King; children, Kevin Micheal (Jeannie), Michelle Tara (Darius), and Nathan; grandchildren, Jared, Alyssa, Valentina, Jaxson, and Tristan; sisters, Karla Tidaback and Rebecca Hryskanich; and many other relatives and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; baby, Samantha; grandson, Henry Fulton; and sister, Dorothy.

Per Carl's wishes, no services will be held.
