Carl William Trost of Salem, Wisconsin (formerly Freemont/ Mundelein, Illinois) passed away August 16, 2022, after battling Blastomycosis. He passed surrounded by his wife and children.

Carl was born July 21, 1953, at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois and graduated from Mundelein High School in 1972.

February 4, 1978, he married Karen Koelling and they started their life in Trevor, Wisconsin. They later moved to Salem, where they started their family and spent most of his life as a machinest until he retired in 2017.

Carl was strong in his faith serving the church as a Sunday school teacher, elder, and singing in the choir. Carl loved music, spending his school years in band playing his saxophone, and playing his cd's loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear.

Carl is survived by his wife, Karen Koelling Trost; children, Cory Trost (daughter-in-law, Ruthie), Kevin Trost, Abby Trost Moran (son-in-law, Christopher Moran); and grandchildren, Avry Trost, Brynn Trost, Hudson Moran, and Makennah Moran.

Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Trost Kelly; mother, Marilyn Trost; and father, Carl Trost, Sr.
