Milwaukee - Carol Major (nee Gribben), 71, was born to eternal life on March 11, 2019 at Willowdale Health Services in New Holstein.  Carol was born September 13, 1947 to William Charles and Mary Jane (nee Melotik) Gribben in Michigan. She moved to Wisconsin as a teenager. Carol married James Major in 1982. Carol worked as a beautician in her early years and went on to work as a machinist for 25 years at Gurhing, Inc. Her life revolved around her family and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. Her family will miss the amazing, beautiful, kindhearted woman that she was.

Carol is survived by her children, Matt Major (Sarah), Dennis Flink, Duane Flink, Donna Flink (Chad); Sisters-in-law, Kathlene (Dennis) Dowling, and Mary Ellen Gapinski grandchildren, Malina, Makale, Dylan, Dana, Holly, Robert, Nathan, and Jake; very close cousins, Michele Schisel (Doug), Kari Ann Kalista (Perry), Christine Malinowski and all of their families; and special friend, David Konkel.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James Major; her parents; her cousin, Mary Ann and Richard Malinowski; her sister-in-law, Barbara (Ron) Weaver; brother-in-law, John Kapinski; and niece, Monica Major.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16 from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM. Prayer service will begin at 2:30 PM.  Burial at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carol's life.
