Hudson, FL, formerly Caledonia - Carol Ann Schnabel (nee. Ribitzky) was reunited with Karl, her husband of 62 years, just 84 days after his passing on July 9, 2020. Carol was the only child of Fred and Esther Ribitzky. She graduated from Bay View High School Class of 1953 and worked for the Milwaukee Library on 13th and Lincoln before transferring to the main library in downtown Milwaukee. She also taught piano in the evenings. Carol worked at AC Spark Plug in Milwaukee for many years.

Carol met Karl, the love of her life, while taking piano lessons and their teacher put them together to play duets. They married on November 10, 1957, as soon as Karl was discharged from the United States Army. Soon afterward they built their home in the Raymond Heights neighborhood in Caledonia. Together Carol and Karl started their wedding invitation printing business, Karl H. Schnabel Co., Inc. better known as Schnabel Printing in "Beautiful Downtown Husher" They built their business literally from the basement up with the help of their dedicated employees that they considered family. Carol enjoyed reading, especially her People Magazines, floating in her pool, trying out new recipes and dropping a few coins into the slots.

She will be dearly missed by her cousins, many dedicated and caring friends and the employees that became family.

Carol and Karl's cremated remains have been sent from Florida back to Wisconsin where they will be laid to rest in a private ceremony, followed by entombment at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Friends, family and business associates are all welcome to socially gather at Schnabel Printing, 9220 6 Mile Road, Caledonia, WI 53108 on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for light refreshments.
