Kansasville – Carol Louise Stobbe, age 78, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. She was born on September 8, 1947, to parents Frank and Grace (nee. Christensen) Unger. Carol was a proud graduate of Washington Park High School in 1965 and went on to work as a secretary at SC Johnson, JI Case, DelCo, and DomainHost. Additionally, she worked as a bus driver for Union Grove.  Her passion for life was evident in her many interests, including spending time with family, cooking, knitting, and gardening. Carol found joy in playing Bingo and the Wheel of Fortune slot machines during her trips to Las Vegas and held a special affection for traveling, with highlights including her adventures in Italy and the Bahamas, as well as numerous memorable cruises. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Carol is survived by her children, Leslie (Peter) Jensen and Robert Philopulous; grandchildren, Kirsten (Jesse) Eaton and Jakob Jensen; great grandchildren, Emberly and Henry; brother, Edward (Sandy) Unger; sisters-in-law, Judy and Sandi; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Stobbe; son, Mike Philopulous; and siblings, Frank Unger Jr., Barbara (Rick) Luxem, and Linda Unger.

Private burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
