Charles "Charlie" Leroy Fancher, age 90, passed away on November 28, 2024, at his home in Kansasville. He was born on September 16, 1934, in La Crosse, WI to Joe and Marie Fancher. He graduated from Thomas Aquina high school in 1953. Served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956.

He was united in marriage on November 10, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Spirit Lake, Iowa to Luella Singer. They moved to the Kansasville area from La Crescent, Minnesota in 1958 to work at American Motors in Kenosha. Charlie started in November of 1958 and retired in September of 1991 after 33 years. Throughout his life, Charlie immensely enjoyed hunting and fishing. He often talked about his adventures in his later years.

Charlie is survived by his two daughters Rhea (Timothy) Bergauer of San Antonio TX, Lori Vieni of Janesville WI, two sons Brian (Cindy) Fancher of Rincon GA and Barry (Karen) Fancher of Colorado Springs CO. Eleven grandchildren, Sarah, Marie, Matt, Aaron, Jessica, Ethan, Rachel, Brandon, James, Michelle, and Christopher; ten great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws Carolyn (Mick) Maloney and Jackie Singer.

He is preceded in death by his wife Luella, parents Joe and Marie Fancher, brothers Jack, Jerry, and Jim Fancher, son-in-law Dan Vieni, granddaughter Caitlin Fancher, grandsons Rodney Bergauer and Daxcimo Ceja, sister-in-law Sharon Singer, brother-in-law Dallas Singer and his mother and father-in-law Maurice and Alta Mae Singer.

A visitation will be held on December 9, 2024, at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a service starting at 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately after service ends at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery of Dover. Please dress casually.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Charlie's honor to the ALS Foundation.
