Mount Pleasant - Cheryl F. Miller (nee Gergen) passed away peacefully on December 24 ^th , 2020. She was born August 18, 1931 to Nicholas and Florence (nee Gullickson) Gergen in Racine, WI. She grew up in Racine and graduated from Park High School in 1950. Cheryl began working at SC Johnson Wax after graduation. She married Donald C. Miller in 1954 and had one son, Kurt in 1966. Cheryl loved to sing and was a member of the SC Johnson Chorus and the Racine Sweet Adeline's' chorus for over thirty years. Throughout her life she enjoyed sports; both playing and watching. Cheryl loved to ice skate. Cheryl skated at the Pettit National Ice Center often, throughout her life.

She traveled to watch the Packers and the UW Badgers play in Milwaukee, Green Bay and Madison. Don, Cheryl and Kurt made the trip to Pasadena to watch the Rose Bowl in 1984. She loved the Chicago Cubs. Cheryl and Don would go to Arizona to watch spring training.

Cheryl took great pride in her Grandchildren; traveling to see her Granddaughter dance and sing or her Grandson playing basketball. She loved being in the stands cheering them on. Cheryl enjoyed traveling to other places with Don as well. They took trips to Cuba, New Orleans and other fun destinations. Cheryl enjoyed volunteering later in life. She was very active with her church, Atonement East and Ascension hospital; where she would host a game called Schwobble for patients every Tuesday.

Cheryl is survived by her Son, Kurt (Michele); Grandchildren, Abigail and Nicholas. Her nieces, Jean, Lynn, Gail, Carolyn, Nancy, Robin; nephew David; and Sister-in-law Linda (James) Borgardt.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Don; her parents; brothers, Neil, Dennis, her twin Charles (Chuck); and her nephews, Marshall and Tom.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 am.

Cheryl's ashes will be buried with Don at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
