Milwaukee – Clifford O. Doerr, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 at the Aurora Zilber Hospice Center. He is now free to be with his loving wife Ann, who he missed dearly since she left to be with her Lord four years ago. Clifford proudly served his country in World War II and the Korean War with the 11 ^th Airborne Division.

Grandpa and Grandma moved to Arizona and California where he led an interesting life working for Walt Disney at Disney Land, and owning his own pharmaceutical company. He also did some stunt work for a small Wild West show.

Grandpa will always be remembered for being very active, adventurous and independent. He rode his bike across the United States when he was 70 years young and he was always more than willing to jump on a wild roller coaster ride any of his grandchildren when he had the chance. He also enjoyed seeing the war memorials in Washington DC, when he completed his honor flight. He was especially touched by seeing the Korean War Memorial when he was able to make a return trip with his friends, Mike and Jerry. His fierce independence allowed him to live on his own until his recent illness.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Bonnie; his grandchildren, Adam, Natalie, Jeff, and Julie.

The family would like to thank everyone at the Zablocki VA Medical Center for the many years of great care he received there, Aurora at Home Hospice, Zilber Hopsice staff, and the staff at Pine Brook Pointe – Burlington, as well as his close friends at the Cloisters Greenfield, for all of their assistance, allowing us to honor his wishes and treating him with comfort and compassion in his final days.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for later this summer.
