Milwaukee – Darrell G. Stipe, 62, passed away October 2, 2018 in Lomira, WI. He was born April 23, 1956 to Lowell and Jean (nee Kachiaper) Stipe in Milwaukee, WI. Darrell graduated from James Madison High School. He then attended UW Waukesha College until he joined the US Navy where he achieved the rank of Third Class Petty Officer and worked as a radar technician stationed on USS Blandy. He graduated from MATC as electronic technician after he was discharged. Darrell's passion was for being a ham radio operator with call number N9KWZ "Heard Around the World". He loved sci-fi and watched Star Trek, Star Wars, Twilight Zone, and Outer Limits. He was also a Bruce Lee fan. Darrell collected guns and was often at the shooting range. Darrell worked as a manager for transitional living facilities including Manor Commons and Eastside Transitional Living.

Darrell is survived by his sisters, Lorna (Mark) Johnson and Rhonda (Dave) Dowling; nieces and nephews, Rebecca (John) Walden, Kimberly (David) Banach, Cory Schaal, Shane Amrhein, Danny Ahles, James Gavinksi, Mary Gavinski, and Ashley (Tony) Rivera; and step-father, Richard Kerber.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Rochelle Stipe Gavinksi; and his nephew, DJ Dowling.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Monday, October 8 from 5-7 pm. A prayer service will start at 7PM.

Burial with full military honors will take place Tuesday, October 9 at 11 am at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. If you would like to join the procession to the cemetery, meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am on Tuesday.
