Racine-David Cox, 33, passed away March 2, 2022 at Ascension All Saints Hospital when he succumbed to a long battle with mental illness and alcoholism. He was born July 18, 1988 to Steven Cox and Pamela (Johnson) Cox.

David graduated from Park High School in 2007. He played football in high school and enjoyed Brewers games with his dad and brother. They made a yearly event of going to the Chicago Auto Show. David enjoyed many days at the beach in Racine with his mom, siblings and friends. David enjoyed many family vacations and get-togethers with extended family in Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and golf with his dad and brother. He will be greatly missed but his family is happy that his extensive struggle for sobriety has ended and pray for his peace.

The family would like to thank the many people and services who helped David along the way: Ascension All Saints, St Luke's Psychiatric Rehab, Behavioral Health Services of Racine, Salvation Army Men's Rehab in Waukegan and Oxford House.

David is survived by his parents, Pamela Cox and Steven Cox; his siblings, Jennifer Cox and Andrew Cox; and his grandmother, Sharon Johnson.

David will be cremated and a celebration of life will planned for a future date.
