Whitewater - Denise Elizabeth Bones, age 71, passed away peacefully at her residence January 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 9, 1950, in Berlin, New Hampshire to parents Ronald and Grace (St Cyr) Madore. On October 12, 1968, she married Donald James Bones, the love of her life, and they had 3 children. Denise loved to cook and worked in Food Service at UW Parkside in Kenosha and UW Whitewater for many years. More than anything, she cherished her family and friends and enjoyed an especially close relationship with her only sister Jackie, whom she spent as much time as possible with. She loved shopping, going to the casino, and bingo, and was passionate about breast cancer awareness after beating it in 1999.

She adored her grandchildren and avidly supported them in anything they were passionate about including T-ball, softball, football, and racing. Denise loved traveling and visiting family all over the states. Even though flying was not her thing, she would power through it. If family was near, she had a smile on her face, and was always up for a good party. She enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies and looked forward to them every year. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Denise is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Don; her children, Debbie (Mike), Donald (Heather), and Daryl (Michelle); Grandchildren, Austin, Adam, Tyler, McKenna, Teegan, and Brynlee, Dana, Danielle, Dixie, Blake, Colton, Lillian and Landen, her sister Jackie (Mike) and a
host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Grace and her brother Ray.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1:00 - 2:30 pm. Memorial services will follow. A light luncheon and time of sharing will be provided for friends and family at the TinCan Roadhouse meeting room immediately following the service. Private entombment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
