Bristol – Dewayne D. Dejno, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 16, 1943 to parents Lawrence and Helen (nee. Symicek) Dejno in Independence, WI and grew up on the family farm. On July 8, 1967, he married Gale Williams at St. George Church and were married for 51 years.

Dewayne served in the US Navy from 1961-1966. Following his military service, he worked at Dynamatic in Kenosha, as well as owning Dejno Apiaries in both Bristol, WI and Apple Springs, TX until he retired. He belonged to DAV Chapter 20 – Kenosha, Crossway Community Church – Bristol, and the USS Kitty Hawk Association. Dewayne took great pride in gardening and landscaping, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gale; children, Wayne (Stephanie) Dejno of Middleburg, FL, Denise (Jason) Krey of Kenosha, and Paul (Melissa) Dejno of Saint Johns, FL; grandchildren, Amber, Mitchel, Ashley, Chance, Margaret, Mason, Koledon, Abigail, Jaida Dejno and Teagan Krey; siblings, Don (Carol) Dejno of Pleasant Prairie, Delaine (Rodney) Ottum of Kenosha, Diane (Robert) Smith of Niagara, WI, Dennis (Dorothy) Dejno of Pine Island, MN, and Delawrence Dejno of Independence, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, David Dejno.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5-7pm at Crossway Community Church, 13905 75 ^th Street, Bristol, WI 53104. Funeral services will follow. Private burial with full military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Union Grove and Milwaukee VA for their compassionate care of Dewayne.
