Mount Pleasant- Donald H. Dahnke, 70, passed away June 6, 2018. He was born June 14, 1947 in Brodhead, WI to the late Gilbert and Edith (Ensor) Dahnke. He was united in marriage to Judith Dalton in April 1969. Don graduated from Wautoma High School. He spent two years (66-68) in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam.

Don worked 26 years in Airline Catering at O'Hare (Chicago) and Mitchell Field in Milwaukee. He retired in 2011 after working 16 years at Custom Cuts in Milwaukee. He enjoyed 22 years of driving school bus (1978-2000) as a second job.

Donald is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith; daughter, Karen (Todd) Jorgensen, Albion, IL; sons, Donald R. (Tammy) Dahnke, Racine and Michael (Amanda) Dahnke, Ft. Wayne, IN; five grandchildren, Kassandra, Kathryn, Joshua, Alex, and Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Edith (Ensor) Dahnke; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and James Gustke.

Visitation with family and friends will take place at Faith Lutheran Church, 8500 Durand Ave, Sturtevant on Saturday, June 9 from 11 am – 1 pm. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Burial with full military honors will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, WI at 11 am on Monday, June 11.
