Donald (Don-Red) Spease a resident of the Kansasville area, passed away at his home January 7, 2026, at the age of 85.

He was born in Platteville, WI on February 5, 1940. Donald was the son of Nelson and Rozella (Woodward) Spease. He grew up on a farm in the Montfort, WI area. After graduating from high school in 1958, he moved to Kenosha, WI and began a career at Anaconda American Brass as a tool and die maker. On December 30, 1961, he married Dorothy Parker in Illinois. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying 40 years of big game hunting out West. He spent his summers at Mallard Resort in Chippewa Falls with his Mallard family and enjoyed catching catfish, his favorite pastime. Playing cards was another great pastime for him. He plowed snow commercially for 50 years and worked on a farm for 12 years.

Donald's memory will be cherished by his wife, Dorothy and his two sons, Kevin (Kim Lambert) and Kelly; his sisters, Helen Gobracht and Joyce (Mark) Meininger; granddaughters, Michelle Vega and Stephanie (David), grandson, Donald Reuter, Great-grandson, David; aunts, Carolyn and Bertha; nephews, cousins, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, brother-in-law; and aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society or the Kansasville Fire Department in Don's honor.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17 from 11 am - 1 pm. Prayer service will begin at 1 pm.
