Franksville – Dororthy Sorensen, age 89, passed away on March 27, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on April 6, 1934, to parents Micheal and Laura (nee. Artwich) Michlin in Iron River, MI. Dorothy married James Sorensen on July 13, 1958, and together they raised four children. She enjoyed working at Nestle and retired after 26 years. Dorothy loved going on cruises and especially liked taking trips to the Bahamas. She took great pride in tending to her garden of roses. Dorothy was a big fan of Elvis and going gambling, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Dororthy is survived by her children, Mike Sorensen, Jim Sorensen Jr., Constance (Keith) Kobiella, and Sue LeTendre; grandchildren, Rickie Sorensen (Donald Wright), Ziggy Hooser, and Cody LeTendre; great-grandchildren, Dakota Tatroe, Alexandria Sorensen, Joseph Hooser, Haylee, Dallas Houlston, and Pheonix Houlston; and great-great grandson, Marshall Tatroe.

Dororthy was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Agnes, Marie, Joe, Marge, and Elaine; and nieces and nephews, Gary, Michelle, Bobby, and Sue.

A visitation will be held on April 7 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Miller Reesman Funeral Home with a memorial service to begin at 3pm. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to Jim at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
