Kansasville, Douglas "Toby" C. Tyler, 63, passed away at his home on February 2, 2017 from COPD which he suffered from for many years. Born February 10, 1953, he was the son of Charles and Shirley (Buchan) Tyler. He attended Bay View High School. Toby was a Vietnam Veteran who served 8 years in active duty with the Air Force and 6 years in the National Guard. He drove for Action Express for a number of years prior to becoming owner/ operator of Accurate Express for the last 25 years. As a driver, he traveled all over the United States and Canada. In 1997, Toby decided to take a chance on an FM 106 blind date and met the love of his life, Marsha Waltman, at Rafters Steakhouse. They became inseparable. They moved from Cudahy to Kansasville in 2001. A talented organist, he played at various Milwaukee area lounges and supper clubs. Most of his spare time was spent building street rods. He and Marsha traveled to car shows all over Wisconsin, Des Moines, Indianapolis, and Louisville, where he won many trophies, prizes, and awards for his cars.

Toby is survived by his beloved, Marsha Waltman; his son, Zachary Tyler of MI; his sister, Sharon and Don Glass; and his nieces and nephew, Krissy Robinson, Travis Glass and Alexis Wolf; as well as other family and many friends.

Toby was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7 from 1 – 5 pm. Memorial service will begin at 5 pm. Full military honors will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.
