Burlington – Edward J. Zabrowski, 87, died peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2025. He was born in Wallingford Connecticut on May 7, 1937, the son of John and Helen (Stabach) Zabrowski and is survived by his brother Laurence Zabrowski. His sister Marie Bergonzi, preceded him in death.

He played football for Lyman Hall High School, played Tuba in band and after graduation he enrolled in the Air Force. While in the Air Force he met his wife of 65 years Joan Vitcenda from Richland Center, Wisconsin. They married and moved to Meriden, Connecticut to start a family, where he also enjoyed working as a Barber. He then began a career as an Insurance Adjuster and worked for Hartford Insurance Company. The family relocated in the 1980's to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where he worked for American Family Insurance until he retired, happily spending his days golfing, fishing and hunting with his dog.

Edward is survived by his wife, Joan, brother, Larry Zabrowski and sister-in-law, Barbara Hesse.

His children are Lance Zabrowski, Susan Zabrowski, Nancy (Chris) Simon, and Jack (Aimee) Zabrowski; grandchildren, Alex, Mike, Jordan, Jenica (Adam) Shortland, Finn, and JoJo, and great granddaughter Mara.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Burial with prayer service and full military honors will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1 pm.
