Felicia "Phyllis" Schmidt passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2018. She was preceded in death in November 2002 by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Schmidt, who was the love of her life.

She was born in Ohio May 10, 1930 to the late Antonio and Concettina DiFonzo. She was united in marriage to the late Raymond Eugene Schmidt on April 26, 1952. They moved to Union Grove in 1964 where they raised their family. It was her joy to be the mother of six children: Warren (Dawn) Schmidt of Sparta, WI; Keith (Mary Jo) Schmidt of Racine, WI; Deborah Jamour of Union Grove, WI; Janice (Greg) Sherry of Ironwood, MI; Margaret (Peter) Palermo of Union Grove, WI; and Carol (John) Hagen of Milwaukee, WI; She was grandmother of 11 grandchildren: Keith, Michael, Timothy, Anthony, Adam, Allen, Peter, James, Molly, Eric and Drew; and great-grandmother of 7: Madison, Logan, Aeryn, Carter, Ella, Ziegfried and Wilhelmina.

Her greatest joy was in her relationship with her creator, Jehovah God, who gave her strength, encouragement and comfort for 50 years, as one of Jehovah's witnesses. Phyllis was an active member of the Union Grove Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her kind and loving disposition and faithful example will be greatly missed by her family and loving friends.

A memorial service is scheduled to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses,14905 Braun Road, Sturtevant, on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with visitation prior to service.
