Yorkville – Finley Michael Gibson, 6, passed away unexpectedly July 12, 2021, of unknown causes at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born November 18, 2014, to Stephen and Annie (Cozzi) Gibson. He had just graduated from Kindergarten at Yorkville Elementary School.  Finley's laughter and cheerful spirit were contagious and created sunshine everywhere he went. He absolutely loved dinosaurs and wouldn't hesitate to teach you how to correctly pronounce the scientific name of every type of dinosaur he knew. When cooking with his family, he would sneak sliced onion and loved eating them raw. He spent most of his time with his best friend - his sister, "Abz," (and she always gave him her onions).  Finley was so affectionate and was the King of what he called "Forever Snuggles".  He always had so much to say and was the greatest storyteller. He was well known for the sound of his excited breaths in between every sentence he shared. He always had treasures in his pockets, from rocks to dinosaurs.  His eyes were the most beautiful brown and green color, and his corneas were donated to help another child see the world through his eyes.

Finley will be forever loved by his parents, Stephen and Annie; his sister, Abigail; his grandparents: Timothy and Terri Gibson, Annette Cozzi, and Robert (Lena) Cozzi; his great grandparents: Bernice Gibson, Joan Bierley, Kathleen Voegtle, and Joan Cozzi; aunts and uncles: Christine (Erik) Weihofen, Theresa Cozzi, Jackie (David) Jones, Eric (Jasmine) Gibson, and William (Tonya) Gibson; 14 cousins; and a great big extended family that spans 5 generations.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, July 16 from 3pm – 7pm at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home and again Saturday, July 17 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at North Cape Lutheran Church. Funeral Service to begin at 10:30 am.  Burial at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery will follow the funeral service.
