Union Grove – Frank Wesolowski, 93, passed away April 24, 2017 at Burlington Memorial Hospital. He was born January 30, 1924 to Frank and Stella (nee Burczynska) Wesolowski in Chicago, Illinois. Stella later married Ignatius Szrama who raised Frank as his own son. Frank fell in love with Wisconsin when he served in the Civilian Conservation Corp in Wisconsin during the 1940's. He was honorably discharged from the CCC and later was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard.

Frank was involved in the sport of boxing from an early age, winning numerous awards. He enjoyed studying US presidents, Chicago mayors, State capitals and boxing trivia.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Wesolowski and Stella and Ignatius Szrama; and his siblings, Ignatius (Laverne) Szrama, Mary (John) Kozlowski, and Sophie (Edward) Richerme and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home in Union Grove on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Burial with full military honors will follow at 12 noon at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
