Burlington – Gary L. Kubera, age 62, passed away at his residence on October 19, 2016, He was born on October 19, 1954 to parents Arlyn and Dolores (nee. Hansen) Kubera, in Stanley, WI.

Gary loved hunting and fishing. He did both in Alaska, the Arctic Circle, and the Northwest Territories. In the Kodiak Islands, he shot a very large, male Kodiak Bear. He also shot a record size moose, which had a 72" spread, and is still in the Alaskan record books. Gary also fished locally and did skeet shooting.

Gary is survived by his two sons, Kevin (Karieann) Kubera and Kodi (Rachel) Kubera; mother, Dolores Kubera; brother, Tom (Carol) Kubera; nephews, Justin, Ryan, and Nicholas; and lifelong friends, Ron and Pat Lois.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arlyn Kubera, and brother, Scott Kubera.

Visitation for Gary's family and friends will be held on October 29, 2016 from 10-11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dover. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00.
