Bristol – Gary J. Lyons, age 78, passed away peacefully at his residence, with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 6, 1940 in Birnamwood, Wisconsin to parents James and Bernice (nee. Malueg).

Gary served in the United States Army from 1960-1963. Following his military service, he worked as a bookkeeper for Karoll's Men's Wear in Chicago. It was during that time he met the love of his life, Kathleen Oprisa. They married on June 27, 1987 and were married for 31 years.

He was a lifelong Packers and Brewers fan. Gary loved all animals, especially dogs and black bears. He will be deeply missed.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; son, Luke Lyons; and step-son, David Hatfield (Lisa).

Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Service date and time will be announced.
