Sturgeon Bay-Gary Wait, 71, passed away February 25, 2023 at Door County Medical Center. He was born October 9, 1950 in Michigan to Harry, Jr. and Edna (Ramspeck) Wait. Gary graduated from Highland Park High School, Columbia Basin College, and later Washington State University. He worked for years as an investigator for the Highland Park Police Department and continued investigating privately afterwards.

He is survived by his daughter, Erin Wait; brother, Harry Wait (Barb Melone); and sister, Mary Jo (Mark) Szczerba.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 12 noon – 1:30 pm. Burial at Union Grove Memorial Cemetery will take place at 2 pm.
