George D. Steinke, Jr. 73, passed away Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove, following a brief illness.

Mr. Steinke was born October 1, 1942 to his parents George Steinke, Sr. and Evelyn (Knoble). After three years of military service in the army, he was employed in the Clintonville and Shawano area. He then spent the remainder of his life in the Milwaukee and surrounding areas.

George's stated goal in life was to simply love other people around him, which he certainly did for his family and friends. He knew that "what he had to offer the world was love." He was also a devoted Packer fan, and enjoyed spending leisure time watching Elvis videos and playing bingo. His sense of humor was an endearing trait to many around him.

Mr. Steinke is survived by his daughter, Kim Steinke Priaulx (Mike), three granddaughters, Bethany, Hannah, and Violet, and a brother, Ervin Steinke. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Evelyn.

Visitation and Memorial service will be held Friday, March 25th at 11am at the Miller-Reesman funeral home in Union Grove. Burial will be held immediately following at 1pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
