George R. Wade, 79, a lifelong resident of Union Grove died peacefully on November 24, 2015. He was born in Racine on January 5, 1936. He married Mary Lou Criplean on December 18, 1954 at St. Mary's Church in Dover. He was a charter member of Chapter 17 of the National Association of Power Engineers since 1972. He was a member of the Union Grove Building Board for 25 years 1972-1997. He was a building contractor until his employment with the State of Wisconsin Division of Facility Management in April 1967 until his retirement in 1998. He was Chief Engineer at Southern Wisconsin Center. He enjoyed recreational aviation as a private pilot since 1956. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and enjoyed taking his children and their friends flying. George is survived by his children: Jeanne Tarkenton of Madison, WI, Charles (Joy) of Madison, WI, Russell of Kenosha, WI, Mark (Debbie) of Chesterfield, MO, and Steve (Desiree) of Racine, WI. Further survived by his sister, Mary Jo and brothers John, Joe, Dave, and Gary; sister-in-law, Joyce (John Friend); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; parents, Ray and Delores (Reesman); in-laws, Martha and Earl Burns; brother, Tom; and brother-in-law, Jim Criplean.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Manor Kenosha for their outstanding care of George the past 21 months and especially during his last days.
