Harold F. Holst, age 83, passed away on March 27, 2018 at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine.

Harry spent most of his life living on the family farm in the town of Paris, Wisconsin. He enjoyed listening to the birds as he sat on his front porch reading the newspaper and having a cup of coffee.

For many years he walked over five miles, each week, to do his grocery shopping and banking. He was strong for his age, spending many winters splitting wood for his kitchen stove.

He enjoyed waving at his friends and neighbors who would beep as they drove by, sometimes stopping in to have a chat for a while. He liked to tell stories of his past, and always loved to talk about tractors and old cars.

He is survived by his siblings, James, Edwin, and William (Barbara) Holst; sister-in-law, Lillian Holst; many nieces and nephews; and best friend Erin Pugh .

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Viola; his siblings, Peter, Bernice, Raymond, Kenneth, Albert Jr., Donald, and John.

There will be a gathering for a light lunch and sharing of memories at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Town of Paris Safety Building.
