Union Grove – Heather Renee Scholz passed away on April 3, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. She was born on September 9, 1978, in Illinois. Heather married Brandon Scholz on May 17, 2014. She was a proud mother and gave birth to her daughter, Katrina, on March 13, 1996, and son, Johnathon, on March 22, 2001.

Heather was a woman of many passions. She found joy in reading, gardening, and crocheting, often creating beautiful pieces that brought warmth to those around her. Music filled her life with happiness, and she delighted in watching television shows, especially Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and all things Disney. Heather enjoyed attending comic con just to see the celebrities.  Her adventurous spirit led her to travel, where she made unforgettable memories that she fondly shared with loved ones. She had a deep love for her pugs, Peanut and Raven.

Heather is survived by her husband, Brandon Scholz, and children, Katrina Devane Scholz and Johnathon William Scholz.

Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Kristina Lopez.

A visitation will take place at Miller Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday April 11 from 12pm – 3pm with a prayer service to begin at 3.
