Hunter J. Snell, 27, passed away tragically on January 21, 2026. A life lost way too soon. Born on February 28, 1998, he graduated from Waterford Union High School in 2017 and went on to receive training at Gateway Technical College to become a Truck and Diesel Mechanic. Hunter worked at Maxon Equipment, Custom Truck, and Willkomm Excavating as a shop and field mechanic.

Hunter was very creative, imaginative, and ingenious. He was so resourceful that he was able to alter his engines to run on filtered waste oil. His spare time was spent rebuilding engines, repairing computers, and off roading. Hunter had a passion for life and a curiosity to learn new things. He was an animal lover and especially liked dogs. Hunter was an exceptional young man who was willing to offer to help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed.

Hunter is survived by his wife, Victoria Lambie; his father, Steve Snell (Cheryl Woulfe); his siblings, Amanda, Hayden, Echo, and Emma Snell; and Jacob, Sarah, and Samantha Woulfe. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Vicky Gates, Connie Johnson, Sherrie Benkstein, and Stanley Snell.

Hunter was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew; grandparents; and uncles, Michael, Bruce, Philip, and Jeff Snell.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 30 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Union Grove from 3 pm – 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made in Hunter's memory will be used to set up a scholarship fund in Hunter Snell's name to help others succeed in the trades.
