Our beloved Angel went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2016 after a long struggle of illnesses. Ida Mae Wells-Jones was born in Racine, WI on August 4, 1971, with twin sister Willie Mae Wells (Gill) to Eliza Overstreet and Arthur Wells. Ida Mae attended Horlick High School and graduated in 1989. Marrying Glen Jones in January of 2005. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Glen Jones; daughters, Shalonda Hunter and Shanicka (Tony) Harris; sons, Fredrick Hunt, Tyron Hunter, and Tyrese Hunter; brothers, Albert Wells, Eddie Wells, Micheal Wells, and Oscar Wells; Sisters, Cynthia (Wilson) Wells, Patricia (Green) Wells, Sheila Wells, Willie Mae Gill (Bernard), Latonia Wells. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Juanita Wells; grandfather, Glasper (Ida) Overstreet; and aunt, Christine Overstreet (Hand). Also survived by an abundance of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and best friend Barbara Cunningham.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1123 Center Street, Racine on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 10-11 am. Funeral services will begin at 11 am.
