Paris – Irene J. Myers, age 81, passed away at Brookside Care Center on May 7, 2021. She was born on February 29, 1940 in Racine to Elmer and Mary Erickson. Irene was a graduate of Burlington High School. On June 16, 1958, she married the love of her life, Lorin Myers, Sr. and were married for 63 years and together, they raised a family.

For her entire life, Irene enjoyed the family farm. She cared for her chicken, ducks, geese, turkeys, cats and dogs. Church was important to Irene. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and actively participated in the choir and helped any way she could. She proudly volunteered with the Kenosha County 4-H serving as a general leader of the Paris Happy workers club and was a founding member of the Livestock Committee. She was active in the Paris Fire Department working with the Women's Auxiliary! Irene had a hidden talent not many knew about. She could sit at the counter and look out the window and draw exactly what she saw. While living at Brookside Care Center, she loved playing Bingo, as well as watching TV. Irene's favorite shows were M.A.S.H. and the Golden Girls. She will be remembered as a loving and hardworking, wife, mother, grandma and sister. Irene will be dearly missed.

Irene is survived by her husband, Lorin; children, Julie Myers, John (Diane) Myers, and Lorin (Linda) Myers; grandchildren, Stephanie Frye, Cody Myers, Matthew (Jamie) Myers, Jason (Jenny) Myers, and Danny Myers; great-grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Hailey, McKinley, and Colby; siblings, Elwood (Linda) Erickson and Joyce Norini (Danny); her beloved cats and dogs; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane Erickson; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Penny Myers.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm, followed by burial at the Paris Lutheran Cemetery.
