Union Grove – James W. Mutter 86 passed away on March 13, 2022, at Aurora Hospital in Burlington. He was born on November 1, 1935, to parents Gordon and Gertrude (nee. Harry) Mutter. Jim attended Rochester Agriculture School where he met the love of his life, Beverly West. They were married on March 19, 1954. Jim was a plumber and was known around town as the Culligan Man. He coached Little League and Pony League for 17 years and coached basketball at St. Mary's. Jim took pride watching his grandkids and great grandkids play all kinds of sports. He loved mowing the lawn, fishing and hunting up north in Necedah, WI.

Jim is survived by his children, Thomas Mutter, Cathy (James) Huspen, Corinne (Ken) Anderson, Carol (Bruce) Peterson, and Timothy (Deb) Mutter; grandchildren, Dan (Abby) Peterson, Mark (Kayla) Peterson, Bobbie Sue (Dennis) Mutter, Christin (Ivan) Hernandez, Kimberly (Tim) Andy, Jimmy Huspen, James Mutter, and Alecia (Alex) Waupoose; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Jane Tuinstra.

James was proceeded in death by his wife of 65 years Beverly who passed February 12, 2020. He was also preceded by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law John and Loraine Mutter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 9 am – 11 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church - Dover. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am.
