James Walter Paulaski Jr.

Bristol – James Walter Paulaski Jr., age 64, passed away on July 29, 2026, at Froedtert Hospital. He was born in New Jersey on June 21, 1962, to James Sr. and Rita (nee. Brogan) Paulaski. Jim married his best friend, Julie Nash, on May 13, 1989. He was a proud US Navy veteran, serving during the Gulf War and retiring after 20 years in the service. Jim went on to work for LECO Corporation for 15 years, where he made lasting friendships.

Jim was known for his intelligence and wit, as well as his love of making those around him smile through his practical jokes and humor. He loved cheering on the Philadelphia Flyers and watching reruns of Star Trek. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed going out on the boat to fish and building various model sets. Above all, James’s greatest love was for his family, whom he always supported unwaveringly. He took great pleasure in cooking large meals, gathering loved ones around the table, and creating lasting memories.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Julie Paulaski; children, Jeanne (Brian) Raines, Jessica Paulaski, Jennifer (John) Schroeder, Joshua Paulaski, and James III (Nora) Paulaski; grandchildren, Alec and Kaiya Raines; sisters, Mary Rosenblum and Holly (Ron) Deleppo; niece Erica; brother in law, Dan (Gail) Nash; friend, Don; bosses, Farai Rukunda and Todd Richards; beloved pets, Missy, Tracker, Jackson, and Gibson; and many other relatives, friends, and coworkers.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rita Paulaski Sr.; parents in law, Nancy and Otto Otradovec; and brother-in-law; Richard Rosenblum.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at Miller Reesman Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, promptly at 8am. Please arrive between 7:30am – 7:50am. After the service we will go in procession to the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery for full military honors.
