Burlington - Jane R. Steckling, age 92, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born on January 1, 1934, to parents William and Ruth (nee: Kapke) Mueller. Jane lived a full life as a beloved homemaker, dedicated to her family and community.

Jane is survived by her children, Sheryl (Tom Hoskins) Steingraber and Jeff Steckling, as well as daughter-in-law Vivette Steckling. She will also be missed by her brothers, Jim (Ardeth) and Mark (Linda) Mueller, sister-in-law Cerene Mueller, and her cherished grandchildren: April (Robert), Charisse (Tyler), Rochele (Brian), Mat, and Katelyn. Jane was especially proud of her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Landon, Harper, and Stella, who brought her so much joy.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Steckling; her son, Thomas Steckling; her parents, William and Ruth Mueller; and her brothers, Daniel and Tom Mueller.

Jane loved spending time with her family, creating lasting memories, and cherishing moments from their time spent at The Honor the Firekeepers Lake Geneva Powwow.

The family would like to extend thanks to Badger Hospice and Elizabeth Residence Franklin for their care of Jane.

Private services were held by the family.
