Burlington – Jean M. Becker (nee Forbes), 85, passed away peacefully with family on May 24, 2017. She was born November 1, 1931 to Walter and Hazel (nee Jensen) Forbes in Kenosha, WI. Jean graduated from Kenosha High School and received her Master Degree in Social Work from Carthage College. She attended the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture and traveled to China to become an acupuncture master. Jean was a very social person and enjoyed being a part of the Cousins Lunch Club and the Red Hat Club. She spent much of her free time out in nature or reading.

Jean is survived by her children, Shelly Becker, Lauren (Donald) Lodarek, and Douglas Becker; grandchildren, Martin, Nicole, Anji, Nathan, Jim, Jason, Jacki, Drew, and Matthew; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald (Muriel) Forbes.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kenneth Becker, and her former husband, Eugene Becker, whom she remained close to despite their divorce.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 9 am – 12 noon at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. Prayer service will begin at 12 noon.
