Kansasville – Genevieve Jean Szaradowski (nee Stelmack), 95, passed away on May 22, 2017. She was born June 19, 1921 in Poland to Albert and Adella (nee Chichuzki) Stelmack and moved to the United States with her family at the age of 8, eventually settling in Wisconsin. Jean married Matthew "Matt" Szaradowski on April 29, 1944 in Racine. They moved to Kansasville shortly after getting married and spent the rest of her life on the farm. Jean was a member of St. Mary's – Dover Parish for 70 years. A wonderful and loving homemaker, her interests were many and varied. They included cheering the Cubs on, playing pinochle, picking wild mushrooms, flower and vegetable gardening, sewing and crocheting, baking, and traveling. Jean was very proud of her Polish Heritage and loved to Polka dance. She was always moving and enjoyed a full social life. Jean loved her family and "Grandma Sheba" was equally as beloved by them.

Jean is survived by her children, Matt (Lynn) Szaradowski of Kansasville, Katherine (Tom) Hansen of West Lafayette, IN, and Ed Szaradowski of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Paul Szaradowski, Cynde (Scott) Murphy, Michelle Hansen, Karyn Szaradowski, Kris (Matt) Kwiatkowski, Janet Szaradowski, and Kim (Mike) Nation; great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Darius, Dante, Lyric, Ramses, and Tavio Marrie, Ethan and Seth Murphy, Nathaniel, Lukas, Teresa, and Thomas Kwiatkowski, and Rose, Violet, and Lillian Nation; and great-great grandchildren, Romeo Alberto and Annabella Sofiya Serrano-Matias.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Matt; their son, Wally Szaradowski; her siblings, Chet Stelmack and Helen Sebastian; and her long-time companion, Sheba.

Visitation will be at St. Mary's - Dover Church on Saturday, June 3 from 11 am - 1 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 pm. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's – Dover Cemetery.
