Union Grove- Jeff Robert Trick was born to Robert and June (Lange) Trick on July 12, 1956. He spent his early years in rural Caledonia chasing his dog Blackie, working on cars, and hanging out with his friends, Jim, Miller, and Mike.  He was raised with siblings, Robin (Kent) Milaeger, Lana (Jim) Dresen, Deb (Dr. Randy) Olson, and Brad (Jenny) Trick.  He attended Trinity Lutheran School and Lutheran High.

On May 19 ^th , surrounded with the love of his family in his own "jungle room," he lost his battle with cancer.  He was a true warrior.  In spite of his fear of needles he took treatment until his imperfect body gave out.  He truly endured until the end.  Matthew 24:13

Jeff was a humble, gentle man filled with love for his family and the outdoors.

His mechanical mind led him to jobs at Pioneer Products, Webster Electronic, Tri Clover (Alfa Laval) and finally Nestle, where he retired due to health issues.

On October 25, 1986, after a five- year engagement, he married the love of his life, Lorie. Together with only the help of our Heavenly Father, they raised eight children, three of whom were not their own but grew in their hearts.

Jeff was a loving father figure teaching each one how to swim, true values, and how important family and love really is. His love for the outdoors took them on many camping trips, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley until he could no longer do so.

He leaves to cherish all these beautiful memories, Christie (Nate) Jackowski, Alan (Carey) Baer, Shelly Andersen (Eli Gorecki), Sara (Jim) Bednarek, and Michelle Dougherty (Peter Goodman); 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and lastly, Lorie, his loving wife, best friend, and caregiver until the end.

Along with his siblings he is survived by his mother-in-law, Viola Braznell and 2 sisters-in-law, Lynn Brandes and Janice (John) Wiley. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Steve Braznell, his maternal grandparents, Don and Meta Lange; his paternal grandparents, Ernst and Martha Trick; three brothers-in-law, Steve Braznell, Jr., Jeff Davis, and Jeff Brandes.

A celebration of his life will take place at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24 4:30-8:30 pm and Friday 9:30 – 10 am with service to begin at 10 am. Entombment to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice, especially Alyce, Melissa, and Julie along with Dr. Ben George and his staff at the Courage Clinic at Froedtert Medical Cancer Center.

Rest peacefully my Chopper until the resurrection at which time I can gaze into your sky blue eyes and kiss your sweet bearded face once again!
