Sturtevant- Joanne O. Brouwers (nee Stemmer), 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born July 12, 1929 to Frederick and Johanna (nee Rasmussen) Stemmer.  She married the late Leonard Brouwers in Racine on June 21, 1947.  During their over 63-year marriage, they raised four sons together.

Joanne was a loving and supportive wife and mother who always put family first. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time outside with Lenny, working in the garden and the yard.

Joanne is survived by her sons, Robert (Pamela), Larry (Sue), Randy (Cindy), and David (Donna); her 13 grandchildren, and her 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lenny; her parents; and her siblings, Faith (Fritz) Andersen and Beverly (Chuck) Stublaski.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27 from 5 – 8pm. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, March 28 at 11 am.
