Burlington - John W. Coleman, Jr., age 87, passed away at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee on August 6, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1932, to parents John and Nora (nee. Cuneen) Coleman, Sr. in Hillside, IL. He attended St. Ignatious College Prepatory School in Chicago, graduating in 1950. John served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952-1955. Following his military service, he went onto attend the Illinois Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in business. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Cecilia (nee. Noble); daughters, Marika (Scott) Yessa and Lynette (James) Flannery; grandchildren, Kianna Yessa, Cecilia, Shane, & Griffin Quigley, Andrew, Michael, & Edward Flannery.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sheila O'Dwyer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Domitilla Catholic Church in Hillside, IL on September 30, 2019 at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
