John H. Meyer, 74, of Bristol, passed away at home on February 17, 2024, surrounded by his cherished family. He was born February 21, 1949, to Melvin and Vera (Mason) Meyer. John graduated from Warren Township High School. John was a proud military Veteran who was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam as a radio operator. John married Carol Ann Wagner on May 8, 1971, and together they raised three children. He worked for Com Ed in Illinois and retired after many years as an instructor for new employees. He also served as the union steward for IBEW Local 15 Union. John was elected as a Supervisor to the Bristol Town Board. He found solace and joy in gardening and nurturing the land, planting trees that now stand as a testament to his love for nature.

John's memory will forever be cherished by his beloved spouse, Carol; children, Jennifer (Matthew) Rudd, John (Ashley) Meyer, and Melissa (Jamey) Schaetzel; grandchildren, Aidan and Katelyn Rudd, Angelina Zamora, Carson and Colton Meyer, and Benjamin and Nathan Schaetzel; brother, William (Linda) Meyer; and Carol's siblings, Terry (Jackie) Wagner, Kevin (Kathy) Wagner, and Diane (Brad) Kleven. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Vera Meyer.

A celebration of John's life and legacy will be held on February 24, 2024, from 11am – 1pm at the Miller-Reesman Funeral Home. A prayer service will follow at 1pm with full military honors. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember the remarkable life of John Meyer.

John's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will forever be a guiding light. May he rest in peace, forever remembered, forever missed.
