Union Grove – John W. Wyant is once again reunited to dance with his best friend, Tammy, forever. John, age 68, passed away on June 5, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. He was born on January 5, 1957, in Oregon to Arthur Puls and Vera Murphy. After high school, John enlisted in the US Navy where he proudly served as a seaman aboard the USS Albany CG10. He retired from the Pleasant Prairie Power Plant where he made lasting friendships. John was united in marriage to Tammy Nichols on August 4, 1979, and together they raised two children.

John's life was marked by a profound love for nature and adventure. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, often spending long hours engaged in these beloved activities. His love for watching old Westerns was rivaled only by his unwavering support for the Green Bay Packers. John had a deep passion for woodworking and gardening, which he loved to do while jamming out to his favorite rock music. John will forever be missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

John is survived by his children; Joshua Wyant and Jennifer (Aaron) Brunet; grandchildren, Rylan Wyant and Zackary, Elizabeth and Kimberlynn Brunet; brother, Robert Wyant; stepfather-in-law, Robert Krause; stepmother-in-law, Donna Nichols; brothers-in-law, T.R. (Sheila) Redlin and Larry Nichols; and loving cat, Bridget. John is further survived by his Navy friends, work friends, and loved ones.

John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Tammy and parents, Arthur Puls and Vera Murphy, and mother and fathers-in-law, Donna Krause, Warren Nichols and Tom Murphy.

A visitation will be held on July 10 from 11am - 1pm at Miller Reesman Funeral Home with a service to begin at 1pm. Full military honors will immediately follow at 2pm at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery where he will be placed beside his beloved wife, Tammy.
