Jonathan "Jon" A. Schaut

Jonathan A. Schaut (Jon) of Union Grove, WI passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. Jon was born in Sterling, Illinois on August 2nd, 1960.

Jon graduated from the class of 1978 from William Horlick High School in Racine, WI. He married Nikki A. O'Neill that same year and together they had two children. Jon joined the U.S Army and served proudly with 7th Special Forces as a Rigger and Jump Master from 1978 through 1991 in Ft. Bragg, N. C. and ended his military career honorably with a medical discharge at Ft. Lee, VA. Jon and Nikki divorced amicably and Jon later married Christal Siepler and the two had two sons together. Jon and Christal also later divorced. He was known as a somewhat shy and reserved man, but open & extremely funny with those he was close to. Jon enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, his Minnesota Vikings, Nascar, & drawing caricatures of his family & friends. First and foremost, Jon enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandson, along with the rest of his family and friends. Jon was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, and could guarantee the warmth of a smile and laughter with all of them and anyone who crossed his path. 

Jon is survived by his children: daughter, Jennifer K. (George) Pisula; sons, Skyler J. Schaut (girlfriend, Amber Rae), Tryston Schaut, and Levi Schaut; his grandchildren Nicholas A. Schaut, Isaiah J. (Makenna) Parrish, Symon Pisula, Maryssa L. Schaut, Selena R. Schaut, Skyler J. Schaut Jr.; and great-grandson Kingston J. Parrish; his siblings, David C. Schaut, Charlie E. (Vickie) Schaut, Richard W. (Kimberly) Schaut, Amysue H. Schaut; along with many nieces & nephews. Jon is also survived by his ex-wives & close friends Nikki and Crystal, Michael Silvasi, and Mark Wasielewski.

Jon was preceded in death by his father Edward L. Schaut (Ned), his mother Mildred L. Schaut (Mylle), his sister Janet S. (Keith) Campbell, and niece Jamie Lynn Schaut. 

Jon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Funeral Services will be Monday, September 14th, 2026, at 10 a.m. Veterans Memorial, 21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182, with a celebration of life & luncheon to follow at the home of Jon's daughter, address will be given at funeral service.
