Joseph Lloyd Greinke, 34, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, formerly of Trevor, WI, passed away Friday November 20, 2020. He was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on June 9, 1986, the son of Cynthia Koffen and Brian Greinke.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Lloyd Greinke, Jr. his mother, Cindy Koffen (Dave Jeffrey), father and stepmother, Brian and Kristy Greinke, his brother, Daniel Koffen, his sisters, Katie Scamihorn, Stephanie Kohnke, Kendra Greinke, Mercedes Greinke, Ruby Loecher, and Alana Ridner, his nephew, Leland Daletski and niece Stella Daletski, Joseph Jr.'s mother, Tanya Greinke, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are considered family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd & Nancy Gearhart, Ronald Greinke, and Roger Timmons, Sr. as well as his great-grandparents.

Joseph was educated in Kenosha County schools, and after graduating from Westosha Central High School in 2004, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served for 10 years as a 3531 Motor Transport Operator. He also spent time as a Platoon Sergeant and a Marine Combat Instructor. During his time in the Marine Corps, he completed three tours of duty in Iraq. After he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant, Joseph went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Mount Olive University in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Most recently, Joseph was employed as a Corrections Officer at the Pender Correctional Center in Burgaw, North Carolina where he also served on the PERT team.

Joe was an incredibly proud father and loved nothing more than spending time with Joey, going to the park, fishing, playing Pokémon cards, and watching movies together.

He was an avid sports fan who never missed watching a Wisconsin Badgers or Chicago Blackhawks game. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Joe will be remembered as someone who went above and beyond to make people laugh until they cried, would give the jersey off his back to anyone in need, and never missed "Selfies at 7:00" with his friends. While always living his life to the fullest, he showed everyone around him how to enjoy their lives, to be themselves, and that it's okay to laugh at yourself.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on December 5, 2020 from 10am to 1pm CST; a service will follow visitation. The service will also be live streamed on the Miller-Reesman Funeral Home Facebook page for those who are unable to attend in person.

Joe's cremains will be placed in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI at a later date.
