In the adventure of life, we meet people who shine brighter, their colors paint more joy, and their moments leave a legacy that stretches into eternity. Joey Just was one of those people. He had a radiant soul, and he started the next part of his adventure on March 29, 2024 when he stepped into the presence of Jesus. Joey left a legacy woven with love, laughter, and shenanigans.

From the moment Joey entered this world, his presence was a blessing – he was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Born with Hydrocephalus, he lived life as a beacon of courage, defying odds with each gentle breath. His early days were a testament to God's grace, as he braved surgeries with a strength that reached beyond his tender years.

Yet, even with the challenges he faced in life, Joey's spirit radiated warmth and kindness, touching the lives of everyone who crossed his path. With his loving family and his 2 church families in Union Grove and Siren, Joey had a world knit together by love, where he blossomed into a remarkable young man, and his journey was paved with moments of fun and joy.

Throughout his life, Joey's laughter and unique humor echoed through the halls of memory and time. His mischievous spirit, mixed with a penchant for playful antics, left a trail of cherished memories—moments of hide-and-seek, impromptu sing-alongs, and adventures that sparkled with the magic of innocence.

With an amazing heart as vast as heaven, Joey embraced each day with his unique faith in Jesus and a boundless capacity for love. Whether tending to his cherished stuffed animal companions (His kids) or spreading joy as an honorary bowling coach, his heart had no bounds. His presence touched every gathering with a light that was a testament to his gentle soul.

In the embrace of his family - siblings, nieces, nephews, and 2 communities that embraced him as their own - Joey found love, meaning, and belonging. Together, they wove a tapestry of love and acceptance, each thread a testament to the enduring power of his family's bonds.

As Joey entered heaven, his legacy remains a beacon of hope and inspiration. May we cherish the memories he blessed us with, holding them close as treasures of the heart as he continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Joey is survived by siblings: Jeff (Sandy) Just, Holly (Greg) Felks, Rory (Diane) Tamminga, Rick (Jody) Tamminga, Heidi Conde, Heather (Charles) Wollmer. Numerous Nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. A very special family member, Polly Imme and all of his precious kids (His Teddy Bears).

He is proceeded in death by his parents: Thaddeus and Nancy Tamminga

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Lion's Camp of Wisconsin, a cause dear to Joey's heart. And please, consider purchasing a stuffed animal in his honor and donating it to the organization of your choice, spreading the joy he so effortlessly shared with the world.

We will celebrate Joey's life on April 3, 2024, where we will share stories, mixed with some laughing and crying, with some of Joey's favorite songs to honor a life well-lived. We invite everyone to wear a t-shirt with your favorite cartoon character on it.

Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held the Union Grove Methodist Church (906 12th Ave. Union Grove, WI 53182), from 3:00pm until time of service at 5:00pm. Joey will be buried next to his parents at Mud Hen Lakeview Cemetery in Siren, WI on April 5 at 12:00 pm.
