Judy Hess passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on the evening of January 30th, 2026, at Golden Years of Lake Geneva. Judy was born on May 20th, 1941, in Sycamore, Illinois to Rudy and Elsie Mueller. Judy was the first of 3 children and spent her childhood in Marengo, Illinois. On February 5th, 1977, Judy married Robert Hess, which began a marriage that lasted 49 years.

Judy had a heart for serving people. She was a devoted member of Calvary Community Church for 40 years, where she faithfully served in the nursery, Awana Club, Vacation Bible School, and greeting ministry. Judy especially enjoyed serving at the church's welcome
center on Sunday mornings. In addition to her church involvement Judy was an active volunteer in various Walworth
County 4-H activities. She served as general leader of the Elkhorn 4-H Club, parent volunteer for the Walworth County Reachout Singers, recordkeeper for Walworth County Fair judging, and coordinator for the Walworth County Fair food projects. In addition to her
official volunteer roles Judy always looked for ways to help and serve people in need through cooking meals, running errands, and spending quality time with them.

Judy is survived by her husband Robert; daughter Amy McGinnis (Curtis); grandson Theodore McGinnis; brother Richard Mueller; and many beloved family members and friends who were all important to Judy throughout her life.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Rudy and Elsie Mueller, Sister Carol Mueller, and several members of the Mueller and Hess families.

Judy's family would like to thank the staff at Golden Years for their incredible love and support, their care greatly enriched Judy's final months of life.

A memorial service will be held on February 7th, 2026, at 11:00am at Calvary Community Church N2620 Harris Road Lake Geneva, WI 53147.  A luncheon and time of fellowship to follow the service.
